Our sweet little Ian has been sick for the past several days. He started coughing last Tuesday. On Wednesday we got a call from daycare saying he had a fever of 101. When I picked him up, he just looked and acted like he felt bad. That evening, he sat in my lap and snuggled. Then about 8:30ish, he started throwing up. He wasn't running a fever at that point, but he was sick. Charlie stayed home with him on Thursday morning. I called his doctor and they wanted to see him. After a visit with Dr. Sood, a quick (but traumatic) chest x-ray, we were told that he had a ear infection and had it looked like he had just started to get pneumonia. Dr. Sood gave him an antibiotic and asked us to give him breathing treatments. Ian does so well taking his medicine. He HATES...HATES....breathing treatments. The first 3 or 4 times we did them on Thursday and Friday, he was fine...but after that...he was done. He screamed and cried. But...he's feeling better. He's still quite clingy to mommy, but his cough is better and he is still not running a fever. So, we're attempting daycare tomorrow. Hopefully he'll do OK.
It's hard being the mommy when your sweet baby is sick. I just want to make him well. Poor little guy. It's been a long weekend at our house, but we're on the mend.
It's a busy week for us and this Thursday night is the Kid's Christmas Party at my office. Santa will be there. I'm kind of anxious to see how Ian does this year. Last year he did great. But at this age you just never know.

Sorry to hear Ian is sick. We are dealing with Devi's first cold right now too. It is hard on the mommy's!
Hope he feels better soon!

I am so glad that Ian is feeling better. It is sad when your baby is sick.
Can't wait to see Ian's picture with Santa!
